June 2020 Personal Statement
- All my life I was a three sport athlete. Volleyball, basketball, and softball. My golf career started my freshman year March 2019. Once I started playing golf I fell in love with it. I also knew that was where it was at and I would have many more opportunities at golf rather than volleyball or basketball.
*My first tournament in March 2019, I shot a 157.
*I then started shrinking my score every tournament. The best score I had during my high school season was a 108.
* I then started and played IGA tournaments all summer long. I shot between 102-107 and the finally our last tournament I broke 100! I shot a 97 after practicing and playing hard for roughly 4 months.
*With a lot of hard work and practice I steadily started shooting in the mid 90’s. My first tournament of 2020 I went out and shot 93. Unfortunately our season was cut short for high school 2020 but I took the bull by the horns and kept practicing and playing and I am currently shooting 81-86. With a lot of hard work and dedication to my golf game, I am going to continue to grind all of 2020 to improve and get better to improve my scores.
