I'm Peyton Ennis. I am 5'10 and 165 lbs. I'm an incoming senior. My junior year was my first time running the open 400m and in only 4 times running it I placed 10th in the 4A state championship. I also placed 6th in both the 4x400 starting off and the 4x200 anchoring.
I had never thought that I would become a 400m runner, but I was convinced by my coach that it would not only be good work for my other events but I might even like it or be good at it. From then on, I started to love running the 400m whether it was in the 4x400 relay or open. I learned more about myself from this than any other part of my track career. So far, I have learned that I can adapt and with the right coaching be a winning competitor.
My goals for this upcoming summer season are a low 50 in the open 400m, a 22.7 in the open 200m, and qualifying for AAU nationals. My college aspirations are running a sub 48 in the open 400m and helping contribute to whatever relays I can become a part of.
