Pole vaulting in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my life. For the last three years I have been dedicated to perfecting all aspects of my vault. Over the years I have developed a strong plant and a nice top end of my jump. I dedicate two days a week to my vault club where we focus on not only pole vaulting skills but the mental battles pole vaulters face such as confidence, fear, and being comfortable with being uncomfortable.
At school, I study hard and maintain a GPA of 3.9. I am also a member of the National Honors Society and Lions Club. I volunteer at my church serving in the children's ministry and mid-week Bible Studies.
I anticipate finding a college that meets my needs both as a student and an athlete. I look forward to competing at the collegiate level and striving as a successful student, but most importantly making my parents proud.
