The high point of my high school career was being one of the top runners on a team that placed 2nd in the 1A State Finals for Cross Country my sophomore year. However, I felt like my freshman year when we didn’t make the State Finals helped me learn the value of consistency over time. I have had the opportunity to work with an amazing coach (NFHS Coach of the Year) who has helped me to become the runner I am today. He has equipped me with how to train and race confidently.
One thing that sets me apart from other athletes is that I like to be challenged, whether that be in the different AP classes I take, how I am consistently pushing myself daily in my training. I also challenge myself by stepping into roles such as National Honors Society. NHS has challenged me to serve and better my community. In college one of my goals is to contribute to the team’s success with a relentless work ethic, commitment to excellence, and dedication to getting better every day. I believe I have what it takes to improve your team.
