An accomplishment or experience that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of myself is when I moved from different states to Indiana. I grew up in Florissant Missouri, where all of my friends, family, and home were. My 8th grade year I knew I was going to move then but didn’t expect it to happen so fast. End of 8th grade I moved on to a new beginning in Bel Air, Maryland. At first it was a rough start meeting new friends at an entirely new lifestyle. It turns out I actually loved it there, great people, new friends, and new things to see. In the middle of my freshman year at Bel Air high school, ironically I found out I'm moving again. I wasn’t prepared for a new life in another state, which is in Bloomington Indiana. At first I wasn’t sure about how I would like it here, especially driving through Ellettsville for the first time. But I actually made a lot of friends quicker than I would have expected. Now I just feel like I've been here all my life. Ended up joining a sports team, making new friends, and seeing bigger things than before. Being a senior gives me that leader role I've always like having, whether it's being a leader on a team or in life. So much that I won a leadership award for my last XC season as an high school athlete and will love to continue at the colligate level. I learned that the things I go through and experienced in life are all gonna be worth it in the end.
