My goal is to pursue track and field in college as it not only helps me enhance my personal records, but also let's me socialize with new friends and maintain my physical fitness. My mission is to attend every practice and adhere to every workout regimen assigned by the coach which should help in gradual yet improvement in performance. It is my belief that staying focus and working hard leads to improved running times as experienced first hand with my times in the 200m by over two seconds and the 100m by over one second in the span of an academic year. I am confident that staying in track and field consistently will also allow me to continue improving my technique.
However, academics is a top priority for me and I strong believe that academics and sports go hand in hand. Therefore, I seek a college that values academics as much as sports, as academics must take precedence over athletics ("student" comes before "athlete").
