Hello my name is Keegan Kearney and I am a student-athlete from West Springfield Massachusetts. I compete in the Shot put and Discus throw and my goal is to compete at the collegiate level and earn a degree in Actuarial Science.
My personal record in the Shot put is 48 feet 4.5 inches, and my personal record in the discus is 121 feet 2 inches. I achieved these distances without a specific throws coach at my school. I learned by analyzing video, watching drills from Olympic and college athletes and coaches and attended the CTF Clinic at Harvard. I was the MVP of the 2019/2020 Indoor Track team at my school and I was captain of the Indoor and Outdoor throwing teams both my junior and senior year.
I am an honor roll student with a 4.23 GPA and a member of the National Honor Society, Via Veritatis Chapter. As a sophomore I was selected to be part of the New England Student Leadership Conference. I participate in many community service opportunities such as the Be like Brit initiative that feeds and clothes orphans in Haiti, as well as working with my school fundraising for the Rays of Hope Foundation. I was a team leader for a walk to support the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.
