If you’re looking for a passionate, hard-working student and athlete, you’re looking at the right person.
Hey coaches! My name is Jacob Alexander and I’d like to tell you a little about myself. Running was not something that came easy to me, but it is something I have worked year after year to improve in. If there was anything I would change about myself, it would have been to find my love for running sooner. Track and cross country were something I wanted to try out in seventh grade but soon enough became an aspiration.
When quarantine struck, I found it as an opportunity to do something that many other teams and athletes were not doing: train my butt off. Last year my times were good for an adequate freshman but definitely not where I wanted them. Consequently, this month I have improved my 1 and 2-mile times by 30 seconds; I know how much this will impact my 5k. What I am emphasizing by saying this is that hard work is not always going to be fun, but the rewards are priceless.
Inside the classroom, my GPA stands at a 3.96. I am enrolled in honors classes and I know the importance of dedication because when you bring it to the team, you bring teamwork. Thus, success. My 3 major goals during my upcoming senior seasons are to make a better athlete out of myself, dedicate my free time to studying, and most importantly, have fun.
I look forward to reaching out to you and talking about expectations for joining your team. To reiterate, running is a huge part of my life that I would love to take to the college level and be placed wherever I can help the team.
Thank you so much for your consideration,
Jacob Alexander
