One of my biggest collegiate goals is to run track in a college level while maintaining a 3.5 gpa. I believe I can do this with the hard-working mentality I learned through my family and through the competition of sports, I always wanted to be the smartest and fastest person in the room. I different from other student-athletes because I am willing to work as long as necessary to get to that next level and to be the creme of the crop. I have always tried to push myself throughout high school by taking advanced classes, while also excelling in them. As a sophomore, my high school track team was in a "rebuild" we were all really young; we needed a leader and because I ran with the distance for practice I became the leader and organizer of the guys' distance team. I was always making sure everyone was preparing and making sure they were completely ready for there race. I love being in a leader role and I can handle the pressure. I love having the spotlight on me while I run, it pushes me past limit of what I could ever have expected of myself. This is what makes me different than the other recruits and I hope that this why I will be able to run at the collegiate level.
