Throughout my years of college, I want to throw farther than Mac Wilkins' discus record. I started throwing discus a lot later than others yet I have taught myself and pushed myself so much that I am better than them. I also want to prove to other athletes that just because you started later than others doesn't mean that you won't get to that distance or level. I continually improve my form and distance to the max level. If I notice something wrong in my form or release I go home and fix it.
I would make a good candidate for your team because I love to help others and push them farther than anyone can. I want them to be greater than me in everything which makes me need to be even greater than I already am. I take track & field as the most serious thing in the world. I want track to be my passion so people can look at me in the future and be like, "Wow, that guy was an absolute beast at discus!"
I am different from others in athletics because whenever I perform badly, I go home and watch what I did wrong and I fix it. I make myself be the best thrower I can be, I sacrifice my having more free time to myself by going to the track every now and then just so I can go through the discus. Even though I get really busy and stressed out sometimes I still find a way for me to lift weights and throw discus. In academics, I pay as much attention as I can. Even though I may not like the class and I may not understand what to do, I will stay, pay attention, and try my absolute best to figure it out.
