My name is Kai Miller and my goal is to compete competitively at a college level. My main sport in track and field and I am primarily a pole vaulter. Through the sport I have learned a lot of things but mainly about perseverance through hard times. My freshman year was rough with many road blocks that comes with learning a new sport (especially Pole Vault). When other people would have quit, I pushed through. Even with the hardships of Covid-19. I continued to train to get an edge on people that were slacking. I didn’t throw in the towel when the opportunity presented itself. I kept going and trusted the process. Not to mention that I have done all of this while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in high school. Not many athletes can do the same while taking AP classes. This is what separates me from other people my age and would make me a great part of a college team. Not only on the field, but in the classroom as well.
