Personal Statement
My goals are to set the bar high for my 3 younger siblings. Being the oldest shows me that I have to be the example and show my family what you have to do in order to succeed. I started running track and XC only because I got cut from the basketball team freshman year, but since then I have found an immense love for the sport and have nothing but excelling in track and in school on my mind. I try to be more of a better teammate first before I try to be the best me because motivating those around you helps you to better yourself, especially when you’re running in an environment where there’s nothing but positivity and love around which makes me love the sport 10 times more.
