My Pole Vaulting ...Personal Statement
I started Track and Field as a way to keep me in condition for football, however it has turned into my favorite sport that I have ever done. I tried pole vaulting in 8th grade when I started track and just fell in love with it. I was always the first person to practice and the last one to leave. I would always try to stay later with my pole vaulting coach so I could get more reps and try to improve the most I can. Over the years I have learned so much from my coach and from the internet, and I am always trying to help my teammates improve their PRs too. I have a personal goal of 15 ft my senior year, with this goal I would also achieve my schools record. With the passion and the drive I have I believe that I can reach this goal. Ever since I started pole vaulting in 8th grade it has been so much joy and hard work and I am so glad I tried it. I would wish for this outcome every single time.
