I would like to run for a competitive college cross country/track program. I have been improving steadily throughout high school and believe I have a lot of potential to continue improvement in college.
What makes me different from other recruits is that I'm a multi-sport athlete, XC/Wrestling/Outdoor Track. I've also been a three sport varsity athlete since 9th grade and have been able to take rigorous courses and stay on the honor roll each quarter. I'm a leader on my teams and am captain of both the XC and Wrestling teams. I recently broke the Pittsford Sutherland school record in 3000m steeplechase with a 9:58.42. I was named MVP of both the XC and Outdoor track teams my junior year. I also received the team Sportsmanship Award for wrestling. Most recently I was named 1st Team All-County for Monroe County (XC, 2017), MVP of the XC team in 2017 for the second year in a row and placed top 10 at the Class B Sectional championships for Section V. In December I was named All-County at the Monroe County Championships for wrestling.
I have the support of both my high school and club coach as well as my parents. My father ran XC in college and has been able to guide me through the process of deciding to run in college. I love the sport of running and am open to participating in XC or track or both in college.
