My collegiate goal is to graduate with a degree in exercise science, or athletic training, so that I can assist injured athletes to a clear road of rehabilitation and optimal performance. As a college athlete, I would like to achieve new personal records in track and field or be an asset on a basketball team.
I feel I will make a good candidate for your athletic team, because I have a great amount of natural, athletic ability, as well as the drive to work hard to better my personal performance at every competition I am involved in.
I was raised to have great sportsmanship and exemplify good values in all competitions. My vocabulary is never rude or foul, as I have been taught that I have only one opportunity to live each moment of the day, and can never take back anything that I have said or done. I strive to make each interaction with teammates, coaches and competitors a positive one as these athletes may become my lifelong friends. I enjoy encouraging all athletes, even those I am in competition against. I am a leader who leads by example. My high school coaches have referred to me as the “thermostat“ on their teams, setting the emotional and competitive temperature for the entire team. I try to stay positive as we practice and compete. I’ve learned that coaches are there for my success and I must strive to be obedient to their direction. I also enjoy interacting on a personal level with my coaches as we work together to achieve success.
