I am extremely interested in continuing to run track in college. I want to be challenged and compete at the highest level. I have qualified and competed at both the State Indoor and Outdoor Championship as well as at the National level. I am a student of the sport and continue to focus on developing and improving my technique. I aim to break 14.00 seconds in the 110 hurdles and 37.00 seconds in the 300 hurdles for my upcoming Senior year. I have never had a true hurdle coach and believe that working with an experienced coach at the college level, I can continue to show significant improvement. I am competitive in long jump and have also enjoyed participating in multiple relay events. I feel I can have a major impact and help contribute to a successful track team.
Along with dedication on the track, I played varsity football all three years and continued to work part-time, while striving for excellence in the classroom. I currently have a 3.76 cumulative GPA and have maintained over a 4.0 my entire Junior year, while taking a challenging course load consisting of multiple honors classes. I was recently inducted into the National Honors Society and have received Honors and Dean's List all three years of school. I feel that with my strong work ethic, I can be successful at the next level.
