- Be sure to run at least 30-40 miles a week, and try a few faster paced runs every once in awhile. If you're hurt, take it easy, but still seek exercise in whatever way possible. Once it's been a few weeks of the same workout, switch it up by adding more hilly workouts, distance increase, or adding some speedy workouts to the schedule.
