Damien Patrick
My ambition is to obtain a four year degree in Aviation at a college where I can also pursue my passion of competing in Track and Field. My career goal is to become a pilot one day. I have always had a fascination with flying and traveling since I was a child.
Throughout my life I have played sports beginning in 7th grade including Football, Wrestling, and Track. My passion for Track began in the 8th grade as I watched my cousin play for our local High School. I am grateful to have the honor of playing for the Laurens District 55 Raiders today as a Varsity Thrower.
As a child growing up in the foster care system, I have had to overcome many obstacles in my personal and family life. These challenges have inspired me to become a hard working and dedicated person in my academics, sports, and every day life. I am very loyal to my friends, family, and team.
I am a very self motivated individual that can take the initiative in everything I do because growing up I didn't have many role models so I had to learn and do many things on my own which pushed me to be very self sufficient. My coaches have helped guide me in the right direction to become the person I am today.
