Just to give you a little background about myself, I started running track this past Spring. I love to run long distance so I thought I would give it a try. I found out I wasn’t too bad in the 2 mile and my best time was a 10.20. I’m pretty sure I would’ve started running sooner but I wasn’t sure if I was good enough. You see, most of my life I had been pretty overweight. I played football as a lineman but really didn’t enjoy it. I started training halfway through my freshman year after joining AFJROTC. I actually lost over 80 pounds after learning all about nutrition and exercise on my own. I guess my story kind of inspired my friends and people around me so I started helping other kids to train and taught them about nutrition as best I could. Then I found I could actually compete in running and I haven’t looked back. All I want to do is run in college!
