Big Upside!
I have always been a good athlete and fast runner but this year was the first time that I ran competitively. I was asked to join the cross-country team 3 weeks into the season, and I had not been working out all summer. After only 6 weeks of training, where the coach only had the team running 8-10 miles per week, I finished the season running a 17:09 5K. I am now preparing for the upcoming season, running 35-40 miles per week. I believe in the fall I will be able to run a mid 15 minute 5K considering the amount of training I am doing and the potential I see in myself.
I do not need a scholarship but am looking for a preferred walk-on spot on a team. I would like to run both cross-country and track.
With Covid-19, I am open to suggestions on how to prove myself and my progress. Feel free to give me any advice.
Thank you for considering me!
