Hello, My name is Tyler Zubik, 17 y/o male and in my Senior year of highschool. Most my life I’ve been moving around, born from Texas, moved to Alberta Canada, to California, then went internationally to Angola Africa. We ended up back in the US and landed here Texas due to Covid infections encroaching in continental Africa. Durring Covid, I started my freshmen highschool year here at Conroe Caney Creek. In my younger years I dabbled in soccer and baseball, but found a home in running later on. I’ve been into running since the 2nd grade and been enjoying the sport as I grew older. Back then when I was younger, I usually ran for fun or for fundraisers at schools, especially since running was a way that I learned to get my mind off things and helped me proccess things more clearly afterwards. It helped me a lot durring my younger years, helping me to adapt to the varying climates and altitudes in Alberta, California, Angola and eventually here in Texas. Throughout my time as a runner, a big supporter in my skills has been my father, having done some athletics in the past with football and swimming in his highschool years, he’s supported me and gave me advice on how I can improve myself at a healthy pace. He’s been a big contributor in getting my mind straight in the sport and reaching out to colleges for potential scholarship applications. As I’ve been going through my highschool career, I’ve learned to manage my athletic life with my acedemic life and improve both at the same time. Being more competitive in sports to improve my times and athleticism, while also setting time aside to excel in my DC/AP classes. Balancing both helped me make strides into my Senior year and applications for collages. Which so happens to be what I’m doing now, Thankyou for taking time out of your day to read this.
