My goals and aspirations are fairly simple, but they are huge values to me and make me who I am. They keep me up at night and are on my mind 24/7. These goals are simply to be better than I was the day before. Whether it be in the classroom, on the track, or running on the road, I try to be better. It doesn’t have to be physically either. If I learn something new and apply it to everything I do, then I believe that it has made me better in some way. I have lived with these values for a while and it has made me who I am as a person. It has also inspired me to go out everyday and give everything my all, even in practice. I also base my mindset off a saying, “If you’re not hurting, you’re not working”, and this has helped me get through many tough runs, workouts, and other things. This mindset has helped me reach different time thresholds, such as my 1:57.82 800m. I plan to carry these values throughout college and bring the same level of competition and hard work wherever I go.
