Nicholas Gonzalez '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nicholas Gonzalez. I’m a 5’11” distance runner. I was recently honored by winning the district and area championship for the 6A 3200m run this year. I finished my season with a 9.37.19 at the Regional meet. I also won the 6A cross country district championship in 2018. Each year I've made it to the regional meet, and junior year I qualified for the state meet, placing 21st. My other stats include a 4:27 for the 1600,  2:01 for the 800, and 15:29 for the 5k in cross country. Other than my running, I take much pride in my academics and service. I am ranked 13/697 student with my gpa of 4.24/5.00, and I scored a 1300 on the first SAT I took. I am also very involved with my community and my school.  Junior year I was the Community Service Officer of student council and was then elected Student Council Secretary for the next year. I take much pride in each of these areas (service, school, and sports) and have learned how to successfully balance each of these things. I believe myself to be passionate, determined, balanced, and a hard worker. Knowing I am able to balance school and sports and work equally as hard in these two, I believe I will be able to continue doing this in college.
