I attend a small school in Fayettville, Texas. The positives about attending a small school is I have had the opportunity to compete and be successful in multiple sports. I have had an opportunity to compete at state in 3 sports (Pole Vault, Cross County, and Baseball). My biggest accomplishment was becoming the 1A UIL State Pole Vault Champion in 2023 with a jump of 13.3, a few months later I jumped another PR 14.6 at the Summer Nationals in College State, Texas. My ultimate goal is to win state again and break the 1A State Pole Vault Record which is 15.3.
My work ethic, dedication, and setting goals has help mold me to the athlete I am today. Academics are also very important to me, I maintain a 4.0 GPA, and I am a member of the National Honor Society. I grew up on a ranch and in agriculture, from the time I could walk I have been working on the ranch riding horses, processing, and doctoring cattle. My involvement in 4-H and FFA has also help guide me to be a competitor.
Above all, the sport I love is to pole vault. Because of my involvement in other sports, and activities over the years, I haven't had the chance to devote all my time to pole vault. This past year, I am dedicated to practicing once a week at MacVault Academy. During the week I have basketball practice or games everyday, but one a week after practice I drive an hour and ten minutes to MacVault for practice. But, everytime I go I work hard and with the help of my coaches I am determined to continue to increase my PR. I am a competitor and don't like to lose. Playing multiple sports, being involved in organizations, and working on the ranch has helped me become the person I am today. My goal is to jump at a collegiate level, I am determined to work hard to acheive this goal.
