I started running last year in 7th grade when I was 12 years old and ran XC. This year I was inspired to run track and field after hearing how much fun it could be and seeing my family members old metals. I love it and aspire to run faster and jump higher at the high school level. This should allow me to set and achieve goals that create a path to be a collegiate track and field athlete. I know that running in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
There is much I need to learn but having never trained or jumped before in my 1st meet I TJ over 36' at 13 years old. I am a team leader and try to lead by example. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the most well rounded hard working athletes you meet.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I also attend summer youth sports camps and am a member of Still Waters Cowboy Church and very active in our youth group. When I have the time, I mow yards in my community for extra money.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the track. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
