My name is Nicholas Ramos and I'm a senior in high school. I have one track season left and I would like to take my talents to the next level to follow my dreams and encourage others to follow theirs. In Cross Country I placed top 10 in district and qualified for regionals all four years. I had the honor of being on the varsity team all four years and helped them win district two times. In track, I qualified for area my junior year and I'm looking forward to qualifying again this year and going as far as I can. I look forward to my last track season in high school and taking my talents to the college level. My step-dad is a high school coach and has instilled in me the importance of being coachable and motivated. It's important to me to carry myself to a higher standard, because my character is a part of my identity as a student-athlete. Academically, I currently hold a 3.6 GPA and I take my education very seriously. I have always been told that academics and being an athlete go hand in hand, that's why I've never put myself in a situation to be unavailable for my teammates due to ineligibility. Entering college, I know there will be things I need to adjust to, but that goes along with any uncertain time in my life where I would have to adapt to the things around me and form a plan to be successful. With that being said, my current plan is to attend college for computer science with a focus on cyber security.
