Growing up watching track, my mother being a college athlete, I always felt a calling to this sport. I was always told that as a child, I would just take off running. One place I remember, is running with the kids on a military base. Now that I have the opportunity to run, I will never let it go! Being able to run track has an open many doors for me; some of those doors, I hope, will take me to college so that I can study and work hard towards a doctorate in veterinary medicine. If I possibly receive a scholarship I can pursue my love for animals all the while, doing something I feel is ingrained in who I am. Being a new candidate, oh I would come in with skills and an attitude different than others on the team. Because of the way I was brought up and how IM taught to act at school, I believe I am a viable candidate. At my school we are required to treat our peers and teachers with the upmost respect. We are taught using whole brain which requires us to use our entire body to retain information. Therefore, I believe in the physical aspect of life and things that being physically fit impacts my academic life for the better.
