God. Service. Country. Catholic. These words define me.
I've always loved to play sports of any kind, whether it be a sport I was good at or something that was brand new to me. One thing that always motivated me to partake in sports was the chance and ability to improve, not only as an individual in the sport, but as a team and to have fun. I love putting in work and giving it my all. When I'm done with a game or meet, I feel good knowing I left it all on the field. I am willing to work my very hardest to become a better athlete and to contribute in any way I can to help better the team. A lot of my teammates think I am a light hearted, fun guy to play with. But, they also know that I can get serious and take the task at hand head on when necessary. A big thing for me in sports is that I don't look for self glorification. To me, that isn't what sports are meant for. Be a team player. Play for them, not for just you. Play for something bigger than yourself.
Although sports are a very big part of my life, I believe academics are a big, if not bigger, part of it as well. I have worked hard during my high school years to learn and work to get better in my academics. I am a part of National Honors Society and will continue to work hard to maintain my position in it. I love to learn and will continue to do my best to excel in my studies. Raised in a Catholic military family, I am strongly considering attending a military academy or a Catholic university.
