The sport of running has been part of my life since as long as I can remember. It has pushed me to overcome many challenges I face on the track and in the classroom. This want to overcome challenges along as well as the love and passion I have developed for the sport, has pushed me to do better every chance I get.
I decided to join track at a young age since I always loved the idea of racing. The competitiveness always gave me an excitement and joy for the sport. Which has evolved and has continued to help with dedication and work ethic to get better at the sport I love. This want to get better carried on when I joined cross country, which has extended my overall view of how hard and competitive this sport can get. Showing me that when it comes down it, no matter how much work you put yourself through, the ones who truly have the want to get better are the ones who are willing devote as much of their life, time, and effort into running.
From then forward I realized what sacrifices I had to make to better myself. I’ve learned that even through the highs and lows of life that God has always been there to guide me. Along with my family, who has always been there for me. I knew that such challenges that I would come to face could not be conquered by everyone. That only the ones who are willing to get better and stronger will succeed. I am willing to continue to grow as a student and as an athlete to become the best version of myself know I can be. I hope that whichever college I decide to attend will help me continue to grow and improve in the sport I have enjoyed my whole life.
