2021 Spotlight Personal Statement
My name is Jonathan Carnes, and I am in the Class of 2022 at Klein Collins High School in Klein, Texas. I am an aspiring business major with a strong interest in competing in collegiate Track & Field.
I am a multi-sport athlete competing in track & field, cross country and football. Track & Field is my true passion. I have been competing in the sport of track and field since 7th grade. Even when we are not training for school track, I am training with my parents on my off days. I give my all to each track event that I participate in. I have received many recognizing my speed, strength, and natural athletic ability.
A well-rounded student maintaining a 3.1 GPA and I am also taking dual credit and AP classes. I plan to study business and would love the opportunity to compete in track and field in college!
I am a Hard worker, Compassionate, Team Player – These are the traits I offer as an Athlete and Student.
Looking forward to competing this year, since I did not get any marks last year due to sports being cancelled.
