Elijah Williams '24 Recruiting Profile

I come from a sports family. My aunts, uncles, parents and siblings all competed in sports with one uncle playing in the NFL for 7 years. From my first year competing in track to this day, I haven't lost my love for it. I discovered other sports but track & field is my first love. My dad has always coached and trained athletes, so I got to be around training and mental preparation from an early age. I watched my older sister excel in track & field which only gave me a stronger drive to compete. My family, sports and school are what fills my days.

I am very disciplined in the classroom, at home, in my training, and whenever I compete. Being around so many people who have competed on the collegiate level has helped me understand the dedication and drive that is needed and expected to be a successful athlete in college. An ankle injury caused a setback last year, but I am ready to have a great senior year and take that step to the next level.
