Hello my name is Evan Mascorro. I run track and field, my run is the 800 meter run and the 400. I also run cross country. I'm a junior who will graduate 2023. What makes me different from others is that I was born a preemie and weighed only 3lbs, but I have always been very determined and persistent since day one. I work hard at everything I do and never give up. I like cooperating with my team mates, learning how to become faster and better from my coaches, and I enjoy competing after putting a 110% in my practices. I would love to continue running in college and getting a degree at the same time. Running for me is not only a sport, but a passion. I started running since I was in 1st grade and have never stopped. I believe the only way to get what you want is to put in the work because talent is not given, but achieved through dedication. Steve Prefontaine once said, "What I like most about track is the feeling I get after a good run." I also work hard to keep my grades up and focus on my future goals. I would like to become a Civil Engineer because I like creating, maintaining, and designing better and safer buildings for the future and today. I believe I have a lot to offer to any team. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about myself.
