Athletics have been very important to me during my school years. A major reason for this is that sports have provided me with an outlet that allows me to better focus on my school work. I first became involved with Karate in grade school and the discipline, attention to detail, and repetition helped me tremendously with my school work and being focused. I became more actively involved with sports last year competing in both indoor and outdoor track and football. I played on the JV football team my Junior year and was nominated for Best First Year player and awarded the Most Valuable Defensive player.
I want to continue my education and although I am presently unsure exactly what I want to major in, I would love to compete in track at the college level. I would like to find a college and major that will be a good fit for me academically as well as athletically. I enjoy the competition and social aspect of track, being part of a team, and competing with my friends.
