2018 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Derek (DJ) Staton. I am currently a junior at Warren County High School. I have been running since I was in 6th grade and I have always wanted the opportunity to be a college athlete while obtaining my degree. I train everyday to become the best athlete I can be. My work ethic is unquestionable. I currently take a mix of AP and Honors classes. My GPA is 3.5. One of my favorite things to do is volunteer at the track and cross country camps held in the summer by my school. This is were I can teach the next generation of Wildcats about the great sport of running and what it takes to be successful. I know I have what it takes to help your team win. I will work hard to make an impact during my freshman year. When you recruit me, you not only get an asset, but you will have someone who will always give you their best.
