Faith Schultz '23 Recruiting Profile

I consider myself a strong competitive candidate.  I have ran track since my 7th grade year  at Warren County Middle School, Front Royal Virginia.   As a freshman at Warren County High School I continued every year as a Indoor and Outdoor track participant. I have competed in a variety of events, and am always willing to try new things and different approaches to hone my skills.  I would consider myself to be a determined athlete and and TEAM asset. TEAM = Together Everyone Achieves More.  We are 1 of many but the goal is to be the best and we all need encouragement and unity. If it is a practice or sideline at a meet we all have a responsibility to support our TEAM. 

I come from a Family with STRONG military background including medical. My Mother was a volunteer Firefighter and EMT prior to divorce. She made a career change and relocated and focused on our Family as a single Mother.  When my Grandmother had a debilitating accident, I chose to be hands on with helping care for her weekends and during the summer when I did not have meets. Helping her at home, in the hospital and at the rehabilitation center repeatedly over the last few years lead to my career choice in the medical field. I know respect and honor, as my Grandmother chose to be a DNR and our Family was by her side following a massive heart attack February 13, 2023. Watching as a Loved one shuts down, caring for them 24 hours a day until she drew her last breath I feel has given me an understanding few at my age have.  I know I have purpose and determination and challenges are meant to overcome not hold you down.
