Growing up in a small community, I'm very excited to explore the possibility of running cross country and track in college. I want to make the best of my experience by meeting new people and positively affecting my community, as well as my team. One of my favorite parts of the sport is training with other athletes who share my goals and my passion for running.
I have always wanted to reach the highest levels of competition and want to see how far I can go. It is my goal to compete in a collegiate program that will challenge me to reach my full potential. Beyond college, it would be a dream to compete as a professional runner.
In the classroom, I am also steadily improving my performance. I have learned how to balance my study time with a busy schedule of training and competition and believe that being a committed athlete makes me a better student. I also know that taking care of my body, including eating well and making smart decisions about how I spend my time, will be even more important as I become a collegiate athlete.
