I started becoming interested in cross country and track during my fifth-grade year of school. I was fortunate to have a great group of teammates and coaches that taught me so much. During the summer leading up to my sophomore year of high school, I suffered a serious injury that put me out of cross country for the whole season. This experience taught me to be mentally tough and always look for the best outcome because the only thing you can control is your attitude. I always strive to give my fullest effort in everything, from academic classes to extracurricular activities and running. My high school goals include getting all A’s in my classes, and making the state competition for cross country and track. In college, I am looking for excellent opportunities for me to grow in running and in my academic pursuits.
