Personal Statement
God has blessed me. Among these blessings are my running abilities. I strongly believe that a gift from God should never be wasted. I am determined to use my abilities to become the best athlete, student and performer I can be, and this is no small feat due to the fact that I am my single biggest critic and set extremely high standards for excellence. Having experienced the results of dedication and hard work; I know that pain, commitment and sacrifice are all worth the feeling that follows. I have learned over the ten years I have been running that being successful and being driven go hand in hand.
