Playing basketball has changed my life. It has taught me so many things mentally and physically that I can take with me through out the rest of my life. This year was my freshman year, and I got the honor to be on varsity and play with some more experienced players. I learned to work harder than everyone else and I would earn things that I was not used to getting. By working hard, in school and in basketball, I finally got a starting spot, and I never let it go. By the end of the season I was averaging about 6 points and 12 rebounds a game, and I was ecstatic. At the end of the season, coaches do voting for players that earn spots for Classic 8 all conference teams. As a freshman I wasn't expecting to be told that I earned a spot on the all conference honorable mention team, but I did and I was in shock. Today, I continue to work hard and make myself better in school and athletics, I never stop going, I work until I sleep.
After high school I want to pursue a career in a business that revolves around woman's sports. Along with basketball I love school, I maintain a 4.0 GPA along with being a starter on varsity for basketball. I have always been good at managing my time well, making time for school and basketball, and I always find myself making sure I excel at school and at basketball. Basketball has been a huge help in my academics and personal life every year I do it, I want to pursue it as a career in the future and eventually make the game better.
