TEAMWORK...LEADERSHIP...WORK ETHIC... These attributes are crucial to success of teams and individuals alike. My name is Zach Davis and these are three of the attributes that are most important to me and what I aspire to envoke everyday on the court and in the classroom.
I have played club volleyball since the age of 14. Since then, I have acquired the skills and versatility to play the positions of Libero, Setter and Outside Hitter. Currently, I just finished my junior year at Norco High School in So.California. I was the starting setter for my varsity squad and earned CIF 1st Team All-League as well as a conference championship. As a sophomore, I was starting Libero for Norco as we captured another league championship. Freshman year on JV, I was starting setter and captain, earning a Conference Championship and MVP honors. I have played club ball in So.Calif. for over 3 years as Libero and Setter. As a setter, I have run both a 5-1 and 6-2 offense with much success.
For myself, strong academic and athletic work ethic is my most serious dedication and greatest strength. I can be a very useful and dynamic player who is able to play multiple postions at a high level. I strive to be the best I can be every day and then even better tomorrow. It is my sincere hope to be able to attend a sound University to attain a great education and play volleyball for my institution's team. My team's success is my University's success. My University's success will ultimately be my success...and will pave my future aspirations.
