Zachary Belous '21 Recruiting Profile

 I am a Senior at Xavier College Preparatory High School in Palm Desert, CA, where I was a starter Setter in my Freshman and Sophomore year and starter Outside Hitter my Junior year. I also play Libero at Orange County Volleyball Club (OCVC) on the 17-1’s team.  During my freshman year, I was team captain for the first men’s volleyball team at Xavier HS. I’m in my 3rd year as captain and continue to help our coach develop and train our team. I play volleyball year round, when I’m not in Club Volleyball or High School Volleyball, I play beach volleyball and also manage, practice and travel with our girls High School Volleyball team, which I’ve been doing for the last 3 years.  I currently have a 4.19 GPA and am a Student Leader in the Student Leadership program at Xavier High School.

In between academics and volleyball, I am obtaining my private pilot’s license, I solo’d on my 16th birthday and am awaiting to get my license when I turn 17.  My commitment to volleyball is such that I drive two (2) hours and 10 minutes one way, 3 days a week to play Club volleyball, because I don’t have a team near my home and I wanted to get the best training possible.
