I have always played many sports growing up. My coaches always chose me to lead my team because of my energetic, enthusiastic, and positive personality. I started playing basketball when I was 5 years old. My Dad was my first coach. He saw that I had the natural ability to throw a ball, run fast, and dribble. I went on to play volleyball, basketball, and run cross country/ track and field. I feel that my speed, rebounding, and ball-handling stand out when playing other teams.
Going to our State Division Semi-Finals was incredibly exciting and rewarding for our team. It made me see how competitive the sports world is and how you have to work hard to achieve your goals. The game of basketball has taught me how to play as a team, how to be committed to the game, and the joy of winning or losing. In every loss, you learn how to better yourself and your team. I hope to make an impact and a positive difference every time I am on the court. I am a very coachable player who puts the team first. I am looking to join a college team that will further enhance my skills of the game, continues to build leadership, and challenges me academically.
