I have been playing volleyball since I was in 8th grade, not very competitive. I have played sports like baseball, basketball, football, swimming, and have excelled on each of them. Volleyball was more interesting to me than all of them. I have at least 3 years of competitive play before high school for each of the sports. I am an incredibly hard worker. I work out 6-7 days a week, for around 1-1.5 hours a day. I also commit to studying at least 3 hours a day.
I began club volleyball at the end of my freshman year, barely getting my hands over the net. Since then, i have been able to get elbow height above the net, and also worked on my defense, shot selection, and i am currently trying to work on "tooling". I strongly believe that good things happen to those who go out and work for it. Sitting around and complaining is not the way to excel at anything.
I have played at the opposite and setter positions and in my Senior year, I am focussed on playing at setter. I have made the 18-1's team for Bay to Bay and am very excited about excelling at the setter role. I am ready to show college coaches everything i have, and I am very open to anything.
Here is a link to recent practice scrimmage against our 17-1's team where I am setting. I am #44 on near court. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOjlReYqOGU&feature=youtu.be
