Owen Steckmest '23 Recruiting Profile

Beginning in Jr. High, due to my athleticism, height and left hand, I was heavily recruited by Valley Christian's water polo program to come see what it was like.  Since that time, I have fostered a strong love of the game and my goal is continue my passion throughout my college years.  As a life long soccer player and soon to be four-year Varsity starter, I have been able to translate much of this skillset towards water polo specifically in "field" vision, team defense and accurate passing.  Now playing water polo year round, I am looking towards my future after graduation.  In particular, I am looking for a University that will challenge me academically and a water polo program that will continue to push me and grow my love of the game.  Thank you for your consideration.
