Ben Pearson '22 Recruiting Profile

I am an extremely driven athlete and I have always pushed my hardest to reach my goals ever since I started playing volleyball in 6th grade. I have been a leader for many of the teams I have played on, whether it be through being a captain or just a supportive friend. I always push myself and the people around me to try their absolute hardest no matter the circumstances. Although I can take things seriously, I have a positive outlook on most situations which I think can set me apart from many different athletes, as I believe that I have a very strong mental game when it comes to volleyball. I have gone through some rough patches in volleyball, but I always try to keep my head up and push as hard as I can to both better my own game and to help motivate and inspire my peers. I believe that one of my best attributes as a player and student is my motivation towards my goals, whether it be my academic journey or my athletic one, I always do the best I can so I can make my way to where I want to be. I have always excelled in school, getting very good grades every year and I try to bring that same drive to my volleyball game, constantly pushing myself to be a better player, leader, and teammate for my volleyball family.
