As a relatively new volleyball player, I quickly realized my love for this sport and found that I also have the ability to play. Being a left handed athlete is a unique strength that I bring to the team and as a player. I’m proud of the progress I made during this season and that led me to achieve first-team all-league. I am super excited about exploring the potential I have as a volleyball player in my last years of high school and beyond. I am a very naturally friendly and outgoing person. I have a lot of fun when talking to people and I feel as though that is a very strong attribute that I have as a teammate. Being on a team makes me really happy and gives me a sense of purpose as an encouraging teammate. From the start of fall basketball to the end of the volleyball season in the spring, I keep active and in shape. For being a big sophomore, I feel as though I do a really good job making sure I am strong and mobile. I can use that strength to put a lot of power and purpose into my swings. I am able to move pretty quickly while being able to put my weight and size to use. I am also no stranger to eating healthy. I feel as though I have a lot of strengths when it comes to school. I keep good grades alongside sports that take up most of my free time. School comes very naturally to me, but I am also familiar with having to put a little more effort into any areas that I need to. The possibility of being a student-athlete at the college level excites me and seems possible. I really look forward to exploring this opportunity, and to learning more about what that looks like.
