Personal Statement

My life can be summed up with three words: academics, volleyball, and robotics. Apart from my family, there are very few things that I love more than engineering and volleyball. My ultimate goal is becoming a successful engineer in the Mechatronics/Robotics industry, so it should come as no surprise that I hope to attend a top engineering college. I would love the opportunity to pair that academic goal with an opportunity to play on a Men's Volleyball Team. Today, I believe that I have the right combination of academic excellence and volleyball skills to be successful at top universities. Whether in my robotics clubs or on the volleyball court, I strive to be a great teammate while helping bring my team to success.

Yes. For my Freshman year I took honors Biology and Trigonometry/Pre-calculus(Senior level math). For the past three years I have taken all college level classes at University of Colorado - Denver.

AwardsSTEM Scholar - Honor Roll - Dean's List; Engineering Robotics Team MVP; Second place Chinese Speech Contest at CU-Denver.
ActivitiesI participate in both FIRST Robotics and BEST Robotics clubs as the Lead Engineer. I also participate in multiple events in TSA (Technology Students Association) and am eligible to compete at the National Competition. Recently, I received my Eagle Scout rank in BSA. I intern as an engineer for Panther Industries. I have the Professional Certification (CSWP) for the CAD software SolidWorks. In my spare time I work on personal inventions, such as spot welders and electric longboards. For relaxation, I enjoy playing the piano and guitar.
