Landon Hanscom '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Landon, 

I am a big advocate for the underdogs. I am proud to be a part of growing programs and watching a community bond over hard work in the sport of Volleyball. 

So many athletes have had years of training and specialized practices but New Haven, Ct has never had the options for boys volleyball in the city. 

With a great love to this sport, My teammates and I have spent the last year working under the New Haven Volleyball (adult league) to get active teen boys interested in this sport. It has been a labor of love for sure. By grace, we had enough players to build a boys club team this club season and have succeeded on so many levels with this inaugural year. 

With our fierce coach Kiana Hernandez, who also runs a New Haven girls league we have worked hard to make up for lost time. The goal of this program is not to build college athletes but instead to foster a community where we can learn, build, and grow together. That being said, I have the desire to play ball competitively after high school. 

I give 110%, daily, to better myself and my ball skills, with self-instructed workouts and drills. 

I would like to be a part of a college-level team that sees potential and is not afraid to invest time into the underdogs.
