Hi my name is La’akea Kamahele, I am from Kailua, Hawai’i. I have just recently started the game of volleyball but I feel that I have found my sport. I like to breakdown film and study what I need to do as a player. I am an enthusiastic teammate and a leader. I have wanted to play a sport at a collegiate level ever since I touched a ball and watched the University of Hawai’i play sports such as volleyball and basketball. It had really inspired me to push my limits. I would also like to add that I take my academics seriously if I don't have my homework/assignments turned in on time then i will finish it and then attend sports. Something that separates me from other recruits is my work ethic and drive. I strive to show up to every single event for my team and every event in the classroom as well. As I stated before I am a hard worker. I work hard to strive in the classroom, on the court workouts, practices, and games.
