Jacob Shapiro '18 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was little, I have wanted to compete in college athletics. I originally thought that basketball would be my sport of choice but after falling in love with volleyball, I have spent every minute of every day working hard so that playing college volleyball can be a reality. I bring a toughness that isn't found in most volleyball players, I was raised and coached to push through injuries and minor pain and to always work, practice and play as if it was my last time stepping foot on the court. Given that I have only been playing volleyball for 2 years now, I think I have still yet to hit my ceiling and there is still a lot left for me to learn and improve upon. My competitive spirit and will to win will allow me to be successful wherever I end up.
